Insurance and Payment Information
Insurance Options
I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, Prebyterian, and certain Medicaid plans. Typically,
insurance will cover nutrition counseling visits, but this is dependent on your plan and needs to be verified prior to
our visit. Though plans will often cover nutrition services, you may still be subject to a co-pay or co-insurance cost. I
am happy to attempt to verify your benefits or offer resources for assistance. If you are using health insurance, I must
receive a referral from your healthcare provider.
Cash Pay Options
If you do not want to utilize insurance benefits, I am also able to accept out-of-pocket payments for nutrition services.
If you are able to pay at the time of our visit, I offer a discounted rate.

Pediatric Nutrition Counseling
I have several years of experience helping children with their nutritional
concerns. I have learned to guide children towards their health and nutrition
goals by using a gentle, encouraging, and fun approach to food and eating.
We all want what’s best for our children, and as parents we strive to give
them all the tools they need to succeed in life. One of the most important
aspects of feeling successful is feeling strong, healthy, and empowered in
our own bodies.
Children deserve a strong foundation when it comes to their health.
Teaching them about nutrition and how food can fuel their bodies can
provide them with that base. Through compassionate, practical, and fun
strategies, I am able to help your child develop a positive and healthy
relationship with food and achieve their nutritional goals!

Adult Nutrition Counseling
Initial Consultation
Follow-up Visits
During our first consultation, I will conduct a full
nutritional assessment, review health objectives, and
get to you know as a patient. I also will review
medical history, current diagnoses, and any
conditions or circumstances that impact you and
your nutritional health. From there I will create a
customized plan for you that will include achievable
goals and realistic steps to take to reach those goals.
During the development of our nutritional plan, I will
prioritize education about food and its effect on your
body, and support you with learning how to engage
with food and eating in a meaningful way.
Nutrition with Szandra, LLC
After our initial consultation, I would love to
schedule follow-up visits to monitor your progress
and help with any questions or concerns you might
have about your nutrition. Developing a healthy and
impactful relationship with food takes time, and I
want to be able to walk with you on your journey
towards a nutritious future. Services that are offered
in follow-up visits include additional assessments of
your nutritional health, examination of any new
diagnoses or lab results, and any necessary
modifications of your personal nutrition plan.
